The canyon was impacted by the 2020 fire. Lots of burned trees. Impressive to see how the area is recovering!

To reach the trailhead go west on forest road in the town of guinda, CA. At the end of the paved road (~1 mile from hwy 16) the road turns left. You'll see a locked gate there. Park before the curve at the side of the road. Even though there are signs indicating private property the road is public. Run three miles up to the waterfall. Bikes are allowed. Dogs must be on a leash. I rated the run as moderate because of the ~1,050 feet climb. Round trip is 6 miles. If you park in town add 2 more miles (8 miles total)
