Need to Know
This trails does not seem to get much traffic - so a good run to get away from it all
Runner Notes
Trail mostly narrow with lots of roots, rocks, a few stream crossings, and steep sections that could probably get pretty muddy after rain. Trail may be obscured in the fall or through winter due to fallen leaves and poor blazing in several sections. In March when mapped it was clear and obvious to follow.
Description
Trail is a right branch off the blue trail at a clearing. Blue trail is a wide access road at this location, with white horseshoe blazer marking the start of the loop. There are not a lot of blazer markings but the trail was obvious and clear of leaves in March when mapped.
Trail starts through open pine woodlands and meanders down to the water. Close to the water you pass some stones arranged as seats around a fire ring.
The section along next to the water has some steep sections as it winds up and down - the black ranking for this section is probably warranted!
There is a white blazed junction heading away from the water that is not currently marked on this app (I may go back and map it later). Current loop ends where it re-connects with the "blue trail", but the trail remains blazed with black squares with a white horse shoe for a bit longer next to the water.
