This trail is very remote and comes across no roads or buildings. Hikers need to be prepared to have enough supplies to complete this trek. This is commonly backpacked as part of the Adena Trace.

The southern terminus of this trail is on the westernmost end of the Brookville Lake Dam. The entirety of this trail is spend climbing and descending ridgelines along Brookville Lake with great views in Spring, Fall, and Winter. There are multiple serene creek crossings that are rarely completely dry.

This is one of the most remote trails in the area so it is likely you'll be alone for the entire run. It is a fairly strenuous run and takes multiple hours to complete. There is one trail junction halfway through the trail: the Midway Trail. This trail offers access to a parking lot on Keeler Road.

The northern terminus of this trail is the Fairfield Causeway. Heading west on Fairfield Causeway Road will take you to the Fairfield Marina and Twin Forks Campground. Turning right (east) will take you across the causeway and will offer access to the Fairfield Trail which will continue the Adena Trace and connect you to the trails system in Mounds State Recreation Area.

Deer, raccoon, squirrels, birds, mammals, amphibians, turtles, insects. There is plenty of wildlife on this trail.
