Overview

By the end of this run you'll have accumulated a lot of vertical as the trail goes down and up valley several times. Two spectacular vistas on either side of the valley give excellent views and make for great rest breaks.

Description

Mostly wooded running. A good portion follows the Jordan River leading to a beautiful meadow. You'll probably be a bit surprised by the large Fish Hatchery you'll spot alongside the river as you climb out of valley. A nice developed campground at approximately the halfway point which would make for a nice overnight. The second half of the trail takes you across the 45th parallel. Then you'll climb up out of the valley again for a magnificent vista.

CCW from the trailhead, had time for an out and back to mile 5. Well marked and decently maintained, mild overgrowth in spots. Runnable! 9.5mi — 1h 34m
