Overview

This loop provides a nice mixture of rolling grassland and evergreen forest. One can see some views of the bay from the top hill. In spring when there was enough rain during winter there are numerous patches of wildflowers on the side of the trail.

Description

This trail starts from a small parking lot with only 7 spots. Come early in the morning during the week-end if you want to park here.

From the parking lot you'll first go through a shaded trail pretty much flat for half a mile. Then you'll go up the hill under the tree and will arrive in a opened area from where yo start to discover the view of the bay. After 1.5 mile you are at the top and it goes down from here. At 2.5 miles there is another hill that will finish gently the run.

A bench rests under a shade tree as the trail can be seen in the background. This is a good place to rest before continuing on your way.

The trees that line the hills make for great photo opportunities in the preserve. The trail winds through the preserve at the base of a majority of the hills.
