Description
The trail starts on the side of the parking lot farthest from the entrance. It begins in the woods, but only for a little bit. It soon emerges into a meadow which it travels through until it gets back into the woods. Soon after entering the woods, the trail splits. This is where the loop starts. The signs seem to indicate to use the right fork.
Taking the right fork, the trail will continue through the woods and come to a small creek that flows into the river. Next, the trail goes down some steps into the gorge. Once down in the gorge, it loops back and follows the river for a while.
After running along the river and gorge for a while, you'll come to a turn where it passes another small stream flowing into the river. It will cross the stream and then turn and start up the gorge. Once on the top, there will be a point where you can look down and see the small stream again and the trail you previously used. Continuing on the trail will take you to that small stream again and this time you'll cross it.
There is no bridge but it looks like there are some rocks to run across. I did this after a lot of rain and the rocks were underwater making this a difficult crossing however it may be easier when there was not recently rain. The trail continues through the wood and across another creek (this one does not have a bridge either but was much easier to cross).
Finally, the trail returns to the fork and you can take the right trail to go back through the meadow and back to the parking lot.
