Emilleden is best started from Lönneberga hembygdsgård or Mariannelunds and Hessleby hemgårdsgård, where there are plenty of parking opportunities. You choose if you run the entire distance of about 40 km or divide the distance and turn off at Djursbo.

At Emilleden there is interesting history and beautiful nature. The running trail is carried out in "fairy tale spirit".
The feeling of Astrid Lindgren's "Emil in Lönneberga" who goes to the doctor in Mariannelund
has been the basis for the origin of the trail.

Emilleden runs through forests and villages, next to fields and meadows with grazing animals. Emilleden passes the churches of our respective parishes and connects a past time with the present.
