Description
The Deer Trail connects the
Barred Owl Trail and the
Vole Trail. It follows the southern edge of the prairie. It is a flat and wide path that is mowed on a regular basis. There is a hill where the Deer Trail and
Barred Owl Trail meet and this section of trail narrows as it goes through the woods.
Flora & Fauna
Common milkweed, goldenrod, lady slipper orchids, daisy, brown-eyed susan, bluestem, hawkeye, columbine, aster, coneflower, bergamot, etc. 13-lined ground squirrel, deer, golden-winged warbler, barred owl, broad-wing and red-tailed hawk, killdeer, sandhill crane, warblers, etc.
