Overview

Multiple trails tracking along the Rappahannock River. Abundant wildlife present with beautiful views of the river that are picture worthy.

Need to Know

Ridgeline has several up and down steep areas and the Pool Pass Trail, if going down requires caution.

Runner Notes

Roots, mud, downed trees are commonplace

Description

Moderatly traffick, with MTB's. Starting from the baseball parking lot take the Sunshine Trail At EE Field and turn left on Monolith Trail after a short run turn onto Fall Quarry Trail which will take you to Wicklow Dr. Turn left and go under the I-95 bridges, this is an active construction zone, make a right onto the Beach Trail until it meets the Owl Loop.

Take the left side of the Owl Loop up to the Ridgeline Trail. The Ridgeline Trail will end under the FredNats Billboard that can be seen from I-95, overlooking the Quarry. Follow the Pool Pass Trail, not well marked, rather easy to deduce though. Pool Pass Trail is rather steep and caution is encouraged if going down. The trail ends at Wicklow Dr.

You can follow Wicklow back around to the ballfields or take the Fall Quarry Trail back to the starting point.
