Freedom Park Trail

Beginning at the parking lot at Ft. Bend County's Freedom Park, the trail runs around the west side of the ballparks then enters the woods of Barker Reservoir. Running a bit over a mile, this section is nicely shaded.

The trail emerges from the woods on the left bank of Buffalo Bayou. A bridge shifts the trail over to the right bank and it continues to an at-grade crossing of S. Fry Road before ending at Mason Road. Several other trails may be accessed at this point, and there is an at-grade crossing of Mason Road.

This trail is primarily a Ft. Bend County amenity. However, note that construction, ownership and maintenance of trails in this area is not seamless. Trail names and limits noted here are inspired by ownership but adapted to sensible trail segments.
