Description
The bus leaves from Payerbach-Reichenau (341 or 342) towards Hirschwang. The way up via the "Törlweg" can be found after crossing the stream towards the end of the village and is marked in yellow-white and with a yellow sign.
The path follows first a gravel road then turns into a running path through a forest and finally into a rocky trail over the edge. The final ascent offers great views of the valley and a plateau of wildflowers and the extra 15 min to the peak (Jakobskogel) are mandatory to get the views of the entire area. The run can be extended by going to the Preinerwall, which is also highly recommended for its views.
Cable car down runs frequently and there's a bus stop to go back to the Payerbach-Reichenau train station (last bus of the day leaves at ~5:10 pm).
