Need to Know
This is a snowmobile trail (during the winter); please be aware of snowmobilers. Logging operations may close down portions of this trail. Please heed the warnings on the landslide signs.
Description
This road/ trail starts at the junction of Nebraska Valley Road and Moscow Road, at the outskirts of Little River State Park. It travels along a dirt road for 0.6 miles, where it reaches a junction. Here, left will take you to the Little River Canoe Access (also called Moscow Canoe Access). Continuing forward right will keep you on the main tread of Cotton Brook Road. It travels past some gates and logging areas; some portions of this road may be closed during logging seasons. It passes by the now closed Foster's Trail and continues past an open view of the landslide's devastation. Eventually, the trail tread turns into less of a road and more of a snowmobile trail. As the trail approaches the bridge over upper Cotton Brook, it passes by an obscure X-C Ski Path (on the right). *This ski path might run up to Bolton Mountain. The road/ trail arcs around and follows the southern banks of Cotton Brook. It passes by both
Kelty Corners Trail and
Gove's Trail, before ending at
Ricker Farm Trail.
