This is a narrow trail for both bikers and hikers; please be courteous of other trail users.

Description

This trail starts from the trailhead parking on High Street. It travels moderately, until it crosses over Red Eagle Brook. In a short distance from the brook, the trail crosses over the boundary of the White Mountain National Forest. It turns right, climbing uphill and crossing back into the White Mountain National Forest. The trail skirts along the eastern slope of South Moat Mountain, then turns right. It travels along bog bridges, near the pond, before coming out to the Mineral Site Trail.

Flora: Wintergreen, Eastern Hemlock, Beech, Maple.
Fungi: Lion's Mane, Oyster Mushrooms, Green Stain Mushroom.
