Need to Know
No restrooms available, make sure you know how high the river is before you go as it can flood here when the river is up.
Description
The River Trail follows the river bank along Eagle Bluffs' CA Western border. There are two access points, the North lot about one third of the way from the north end of the trail, and a less-used South lot with a short connector about a half mile from the southern end of the trail.
Best seasons to run are from late fall to early spring as it will get overgrown and buggy in the warmer months. On the north end of the trail, there is access to California Island when the river is down around normal levels.
Flora & Fauna
Giant cottonwood trees fill the riverbanks. Many opportunities for birdwatching as the area is a migration stopover for many different birds that you don't see as much in central MO.
