Conditions are very dependent on the tides and weather. Be prepared to wade through bit of water. Bring a tide table, and try to visit at low tide for slightly dryer conditions.
The trail originally stayed mostly in the park but due to poor signage and trail migration, it makes a quick jog to the northwest and mostly follows the park boundary. For a nice loop, consider going north up the beach to Bearberry Trail and Leadbetter Bay Loop Trail for the return.
