Overview

This is run on flowy singletrack mountain bike trails so there are a number of short ups and downs. The trails are smooth, firm and have good footing. Run in a counterclockwise direction you get to enjoy the views of the Bookcliffs. Any shade you get will be on the second half.

Description

As you leave the parking lot any number of trails will work as there is a braided network of footpaths. Just be sure to make the left turn onto the trail as you leave the parking area and head SE. Chutes and Ladders is well marked and travelled. Be sure to follow signs at intersections. The first half gradually climbs over rollers until the dirt road at approximately the halfway point. This is a good bailout point. If you take the road down, you are just over a mile from your car.

The second half has some larger climbs and steeper descents but is more interesting. Be sure to watch closely for the sharp turn off the Frontside Trail onto the Zippity trail system.
