Need to Know
Several slides across the trail and a 1/4 mile "Narrows". Trail maintenance is a joke most years.
Description
Starting at Twin Peaks on Sleeping Deer Road #40086, the trail runs out west to a knoll and drops fairly quickly into the valley to run along Warm Springs Creek. Kurr Creek Trail #4120 drops in on your right after a bit, followed by Trapper Creek Trail #4119 joining from the right side. About 2.3 miles further downstream is Shower Bath Hot Springs!
There is a 1/4 mile section of narrows (cliffs on each side, no shore) that will require a good soaking. Just after the narrows, you come to the junction of
Mahoney Creek Trail #4121 (a steep nasty alternate route out). Keep going and find Foster Ranch complete with airport, cabin, more hot springs and more trail options.
You could go North on Hot Creek Ridge Trail #4248 back up to Sleeping Deer Road or South on Cold Creek Trail #4116. Stay with the river to maintain this trail all the way to the end where it joins
Loon Creek Trail #4101. Just before meeting
Loon Creek Trail #4101, you have another option to scramble up a steep ridge to Sleeping Deer Road on Bridge Creek Ridge Trail #4123.
