Need to Know
This trail lacks decent shade along the entire route. There are zero potable water refill areas on the trail.
Description
This is an open space trail that starts just east of Wadsworth on Yukon (Yukon and Coal mine, nearest major road intersection) and ends just west of Kipling. Most recently, this has a new path that leads out to the
C-470 Trail. Most hikers and bikers are residents of the neighborhoods, so expect kids, dogs and casual walkers.
The path itself is paved, fairly flat with minimal elevation changes, and has 2 residential street crossings where you need to cross a residential road with cars (25mph). There are also 2 tunnels: 1 under Wadsworth and the other Kipling, both are maintained but be forewarned in the spring and after a heavy rain, the Wadsworth tunnel does tend to become very muddy.
