Starting at McCullough Road, the fire road makes its way up Slacker Hill. The ascent is steep as you make your way up the ridge. Slacker Ridge Trail branches off after 0.2 miles to the very top of the ridge. Continue straight ahead further up the hill. Once you reach the top of the ridge, the trail narrows and stunning views of the San Francisco Bay open up. Reach the junction with SCA Trail after 0.5 miles.
