Description

The Marsh Overlook Trail offers an opportunity for birders to seek out the more shy residents of the refuge amongst the cattails and marshlands. The overlook spur climbs into the high desert and ends at a bench overlooking the marshlands for extended wildlife viewing.

Flora & Fauna

Seasonally, search for Virginia rail, American bittern, bushtit, vermilion flycatcher, Lincoln's sparrow, common yellowthroat, northern leopard frog, and Texas spiny softshell.
