Description

The Rio Viejo Trail follows an old channel of the Rio Grande, which is now a restored cottonwood forest.

Flora & Fauna

Depending on the season, you may see hermit thrush, ladder-backed woodpecker, western tanager, yellow-breasted chat, yellow warbler, javelina, elk, and checkered gartersnakes.
