The route finding on this trail is difficult as it crosses blank rock slabs in parts. Route finding is facilitated by stone cairns.
This is an out-and-back route primarily used for climber access directly to Waterfall Dome and spur routes to Rockfellow Dome and other nearby climbing areas. This portion of access trail terminates in the polished stone creek bed below Waterfall Dome. Above here, the creek bed levels out into a sandy creek bed where Rockfellow Dome and many of the domes in the heart of the Stronghold are visible.
