Description
Part of the official Hualapai Mountain Trail System. The West Potato Patch Trail connects with the
East Potato Patch Loop at the end of the
Forest Army Way trail connector that brings you up from the parking area at the Disc Golf Course 1st Tee Box. There are a couple of points along the route though that provide nice vistas of the Hualapai Valley and Kingman far below. The trail winds up the flank of Aspen Peak and goes through an area covered with massive weathered granite boulders (probably why it's called the Potato Patch?) Great views of the Hualapai Valley and Kingman from multiple points including the valley to the east (on a clear day, the San Francisco Peaks may be visible).
