Description

Beginning on the north west side of the landmark McKee Street Bridge, the trail begins with a wide concrete surface and tucks under McKee to follow the left bank of Buffalo Bayou downstream. After passing under Elysian Street, the concrete surface ends under Interstate 69. The HB&T Rails to Trails Bascule Pedestrian Bridge offers a connection to Buffalo Bayou Greenway on the right bank of the bayou.

The trail then continues downstream as a wide path, at times old asphalt and at times gravel, to an underpass of Jensen Drive. At this point the trail becomes wide concrete. About 1/4 mile east of Jensen the trail turns north to end at Clinton Drive. In this section there are separated paths for pedestrians and cyclists.
