Hunting Bayou Greenway at Kashmere Gardens

Beginning at the Mickey Leland memorial at Cavalcade St. and W. Hunting St., this trail runs mostly north along the left bank of Schramm Gully for about one-half mile to Hunting Bayou. Crossing the gully to the right bank of the bayou, the trail then tends eastward with at-grade crossings of Falls St., Leffingwell St. and Hirsch Rd. At Wayne St. the trail uses the street's bridge to move over to the left bank for two blocks before moving back to the right bank at Wipprecht St. The trail continues downstream to end just short of Lockwood Dr.

As of 2023, some trail construction has been done downstream but complete connections are not available. There is dirt path that is open to Lockwood Drive.
