Description
Begin at the Jockey Hollow trail center lot. Pick up a brochure at the trailhead, then run to your left. Look for the sign for the Aqueduct Trail, with a green leaf carved on it. If you keep to the left when the trail splits, you can follow the signposts in alphabetical order. The trail is marked throughout with green blazes.
There's a gradual climb as you proceed through woodland. The climb becomes a little more steep for little ones as you approach the farthest point from the trailhead. There's also the option to turn back when the two halves of the trail merge about half a mile from the car park. This pleasant trail took us about an hour with several short stops. Highlights this June day were fragrant wild roses near the parking lot and 2 different species of frog spotted by our son.
