Need to Know

There is little shade along the route, so good sun protection is advisable. Snacks and picnic tables are available at the AJ Hackett Kawarau Bungy Centre just after crossing the suspension bridge.

Runner Notes

There are more bikers than pedestrians on this trail, so some caution is advised.

Description

This popular trail will generally have more bicyclists than runners, but it is a pleasant run nevertheless. It crosses two bridges in the segment described; the Edgar Bridge and the Kawarau Gorge Suspension Bridge. The run begins at a parking area just off the Morven Ferry Road, and ends just after crossing the Kawarau Gorge Suspension Bridge. Along the way, it crosses the Arrow River on the Edgar Bridge.
