Overview
Challenging route giving you a grand tour of the lower part of the natural reserve. The route goes through les Laquettes, Lac d'Aubert, Lac d'Aumar and the Col d'Estoudou. All along your journey, you'll be surrounded by gorgeous mountains and pristine lakes.

Description
This route starts from the main parking lot and uses multiple trails:
Start by following the
Le sentier des Laquettes. Once at the dam (end of trail, 3.3km/2mi), follow a short trail going to Lake Aubert. There, enjoy the view and a well deserved break! Swimming is allowed.
Once ready to go, head back to the nearby parking lot. Follow the main trail going North for 300m/1000ft to Lake Aumar and the GR 10. Follow the GR 10 for 300m/1000ft until a fork. Leave the GR for the
Lac d'Aumar Loop then
At 6.2km/3.8mi, meet back the GR 10 allowing you to go from Lake Aumar to Col d'Estoudou. At 8.7km/5.4mi, leave the GR 10 and climb up using
Col d'Estoudou Viewpoint Spur to be rewarded with a beautiful view of the valley!
Once done, end the loop by taking the
Lac d'Oredon - Col d'Estoudou Trail, bringing you back to the parking lot.
Flora & Fauna
- Lots of heather and pine trees
- Some sheep and cows can be found grazing in the summer times
