Trail running friendly

Take a stroll in this patch of forest right at the border of Montpellier. You'll feel outside of the city for a couple of hours. Pic Saint Loup can be seen from the Northern part of the trail.

The path is wide and easy to follow despite not being well-marked. This is the full loop, but you can shorten it by cutting through using the Montmaur Woods Short Loop Alternative.

Be careful, though! Rumors are these woods used to be a place of witchcraft. Some say they still them at nighttime...

Local birds can be spotted
