Description
The trail starts at Barangay Duacan in Kabayan, Benguet, where you ascend a cemented portion leading to the ranger station. Passing through Duacan Primary School, we traversed a rough road and entered a trail surronded by pine trees, offering glimpses of Barangay Eddet. Along the 4-kilometer path, you can explore farmlands, boulders, and burial sites before passing Eddet River.
From there you cross the hanging bridge over Eddet River and climbing over boulders. The ascent continues through pine forest slopes, reaching a burial site at 1450 meters above sea level. The journey persisted with a nonstop ascent. Progressing to Marlboro Camp at 2130 meters, you can take a rest. The trail transitioned through uphill battles on pine forest slopes, leading into a mossy forest. Press on to Saddle Camp at 2,800 meters, where you get panoramic views of Benguet mountains.
From here ascending to Pulag's summit is straight forward. Take in the views and then either turn back or go descend on the
Ambangeg Trail.
