Description
A small parking lot fits about 8-10 cars. The beginning of the trail is wide and level and heads past a picnic area. Views of the historic dam are immediately seen and shortly up the trail you can go down to the creek to see the lower river from the 30-foot tall dam. Continuing along the trail there are some large sycamore trees and tall cliffs above. Plenty of wildlife and birds are along the trail. Bald eagles are commonly seen here as well as songbirds and waterfowl. The trail ends with a slightly steeper but easily manageable up hill climb. The trail end is under the route 219 bridges overhead.
This is a popular spot for hikers and fishing.
