Runner Notes

Fantastic trail to run in either direction. Mellow grades & smooth singletrack with a few rocky sections & some punchy climbs to keep things interesting. The Breakfast Meats Loop makes for a great 10k route.

Description

After turning off of the Midland Bike Trail, begin the gradual climb on this relatively smooth trail. The trail is straightforward although a few short b-line options exist. As you reach the high point of the trail (~1.5 miles in), pay close attention as you'll be running across some rocky sections, where the trail can be a bit difficult to distinguish at times. Chances are you'll easily be able to follow the well-worn route.

After a short, switchback descent, look to the right for a short connector trail to link up with Bacon Bits Trail #1450A.

Flora & Fauna

Cactus, deer, lizards, mountain lions.
