The Spartan West trail climbs a consistent hill but soon reaches spectacular views off the steep side of the ridge. The upper section of the Spartan West trail is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the Methodist Mountain Trail System—the views of the Sawatch Range are unbelievable! If you're looking for a short hike, a simple out-and-back on Spartan West is a fantastic choice.
