Need to Know
You can park near the top of
D4 trail along Leland Creek Road.
Runner Notes
This is a fun trail run on the ridge, with less elevation gain and loss than surrounding trails. Lots of rock and careful foot placement on this one.
Description
Pinball ridge is best hiked as an out and back from Leland Creek Road. Start the hike with a wandering trail up an open ridge with great views of the valley. After about 1 mile, the trail will head into an old growth forest, crossing a mid road and continuing up towards Elk Creek doubletrack. After crossing the bridge, the trail gets steeper to the end. If you don't want the extra workout, the bridge is a great place to turn around and head back down.
