Street parking available on Brassington Ln. and Parkview Ln. on the south end, and on Idyllwild Dr. at Copper Creek Park on the north end.

Be careful when the creek floods, parts of the trail may be under water.

This section of Plano's Chisholm Trail runs along the west side of Spring Creek. There is a bridge at the south end that connects to the rest of the Chisholm Trail system, and Copper Creek playground is on the north end. There is a second bridge at Chatsworth Ln. that goes over a tributary creek. Most of the trail is shady, with good views of the creek. There is access to the creek in a couple of spots, and the dogs can play and get a drink. The creek is usually shallow enough to wade in, only ankle deep in many parts. There are lots of fossils in the creek bed. You may spot a coyote or bobcat if you're lucky.

Fish and turtles in the creek, Wildflowers and native plants. There are some dogwoods along the trail. Occasional coyote and bobcat sightings in the area.
