Description
This trail is a combination of several trails in The Dick and Nancy Eales Preserve at Moosic Mountain, locally referred to as Eales Preserve or Moosic Mountain.
The trails used to make the loop are
Bruised Ego Trail,
Gene's Trail,
High Voltag, Waterfall Loop, Unnamed Jeep Road, Pink Floyd Trail and,
Blueberry Trail. Along this loop you'll walk through deciduous forests, rock balds and, heath barrens and along the top ridge get sweeping views of the valley below.
There are a couple small creeks that run near the trail in spots, but I would suggest taking enough water with you for the entire loop.
Flora & Fauna
stunted pine and oak forest dominated by huckleberry, blueberry, rhodora and other low-lying shrubs that attract a broad array of birds, butterflies and moths—including the globally rare sallow moth and barrens buckmoth.
