Need to Know
Parking is free at both trailheads, but no restrooms are available.
Description
This trail is a mostly doubletrack multi-use trail following the shore of the lake. The area is labeled for and popular with horse riders, so be aware of sharing the trail and practice appropriate trail etiquette. The trail is accessible from both ends with parking available at both trailheads. Since the trail follows the lake shore, elevation change is minimal, although the northern end of the trail does have some ups and downs following the terrain of the shore. Since the trail does follow the shore closely in places, portions can be prone to flooding during high water levels. Throughout its length, the trail offers pretty views of the lake and the opposite shore. It passes mostly through wooded areas, so shade is plentiful. The trail itself is mostly dirt with occasional rocks, roots, and fallen branches to break up the footing.
