From Mazraat el Nahir you follow the trail up the valley. the trail is well trodden with no deviations. Along the way you'll see amazing views. Huge cliffs a village a monastery and the ruins of Mar Abon. Mar Abon is a beautiful ruin set inside of a cave. With extensive buildings. After that you keep following the trail to the village of Qoshaya. After the village follow the trail bearing left at the crossing, past the river and to the monastery of Qanoubine.
