From the junction with Holloway Lake Trail, slightly over 2 miles in, turn right and head up to the ridge. There is water near the junction, but come prepared nonetheless. This area burned during the 2017 Lolo Peak fire, which makes route finding a bit tricky, and has removed most of the potential for shade. Either download a map beforehand or just stick to the ridge, which will take you to the summit.
