Need to Know

This trail is a multi-use trail open to equestrians and hikers during the summer months. In winter, it is open to Nordic skiers but is primarily a snowmobile trail.

Description

This trail starts from this forest unit's main parking area, where there are picnic tables and vault toilets. The Sykes Trail runs north, past a junction with the Walnut Trail, as an old doubletrack road roughly parallel to Hay Creek. It has sections of soft sand created by its use as an equestrian trail. It ends at its junction with the Outer Loop Trail where there is a shelter.
