Need to Know
The access near Prestonsburg is within Archer Park near the memorial. The trail is accessible from the David side at a gravel lot off of KY-404 (37.602731, -82.879592) or at the East KY Trails Dairy Bar at the intersection of KY-404 and KY-850. There are a few roadside assistance locations along the trail with bike pumps and tools as well as benches. There are usually a few locations with porta potties along the way.
Description
The paved path has an even grade throughout and is wide enough for two-way traffic. It is perfect for road biking, walking, road running, horses and strollers. There are many creek crossings and old railroad trestles turned bridges. A must see on the trail is the school bus bridge located closer to the David side of the trail.
