About 80% done of trail, it starts to climb and has a few stairs soon. Looking S, photo center is Sports Challenge rock. We saw a group climbing it. I liked the hiker/climbers mix at the park.

About midpoint on the trail, facing SE back at the enterance. Not too flat, but a happy place to rest stock if needed.

See HP website topo map too, this is the T intersection of the map loop. I know recommended no signs, the R stick is a bit confusing, go R or L? Go L, we found out extra info is for the rock climbers. There are two structures on the trail, NE side.

Very beginning of trail. You'll climb up and over the shadowy low area in the center, via man made steps. This gives you access to the contained valley.

Petroglyphs on Barker Dam nature trail. Park has excellent signage; directional and info. You can easily see this formation 30-50ft off trail next to info sign. Trail is behind and to the left, and continues back to trailhead. Facing S @ 330pm.

Person screen left following trail drops to valley floor, what a view! Boulders, brush and cactus a plenty oh my! This is trail counter-clockwise and start of W side leg after dam wall. About 315pm so facing W rocks are in shadow.

Westside or dam wall of Baker Dam picture center. Note water level even after a rain is low, Dec 2018. Trail continues though boulders screen left and behind view. People were hiking very close to the wall but rangers were around.

Eastside or backside of Baker Dam facing N. Nice reflections in the water. Lots of people taking photos of each other.
